Two or More Players

Requires Standard deck of SIXCHEX™ Six-way rainbow playing cards.

  • OBJECT: To accumulate the largest number of light and dark rainbows. (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet)
  • PREPARATION: Either discard the Tan, Pink, Black and Gray cards, or leave them in the deck as decoys. Shuffle the cards and spread them out face down. Select a player to start.
  • THE PLAY: Each player in his turn picks up 7 cards. If the cards form a rainbow of a dark shade, or light shade, he sets them aside and plays again. If the cards do not form a dark or light rainbow, he discards one or more of them face down, then replaces them with other cards. If he then makes a rainbow he takes another turn; otherwise he keeps the 7 cards in his hand, and the game passes to the next player. Players continue discarding and replacing cards until all rainbows are picked up.
  • OUTCOME: The most rainbows, or the highest total of play numbers, wins. Choose one objective before starting the game. If necessary, a tie-breaker game is played for 3 rainbows; i.e., the first player to find 3 rainbows, wins.
